Mr T's Day

I was absolutely bursting with pride on Wednesday watching Mr T receive his M Tech parchment. Doesn't he look gorgeous in a suit?

Blood And TV

source

I don't know about everyone else but I love to read when I'm away on holiday. Well not just reading but devouring books like there's no tomorrow. At home I get to snatch half an hour before I head for bed and I feel bad for being so self-indulgent but I never feel guilty about reading when I'm away.

When I got home from holidays I was still in reading mode though so I decided to re-read Twilight, and now that I'm in vampire mode I thought that I might get my hands on True Blood and see what the hype is all about. Season 1 is on it's way and I hope to spend a lazy weekend immersed in it soon.

Have any of you watched it? What do you think? Do you feel guilty about reading?

Catch Up Time

source

Oh it's good to be home!

Turkey was amazing, the weather was great, the beach was lovely, the food was yum, the company was wonderful. I might just have to go back. But now it's time to get back to the normal, real world again. The next few weeks are hectic but in a good way.

  • Mr T is graduating tomorrow. I can't wait to see him collect his M.Tech parchment. He worked so so hard for his qualifications and tomorrow is just a wonderful closing ceremony to it all.
  • My bestest friend from home, Lin, is heading off to Oz for her sister-in-laws wedding next week and I haven't seen her in about 2 months so we're hopefully spending Saturday bumming around together before she heads away.
  • Electric Picnic is coming up in 2 weeks. My first time at a festival and I feel like a complete greenhorn. Can't wait though.
  • I have 8 hours of 'Design for Sustainability' tutorials to teach this semester and thankfully it's something that I already understand and can hopefully teach without too much extra work on my part. It all starts in about 2 weeks.

All wonderfully busy fun filled stuff to keep me entertained for the next few weeks.

What have you coming up in your life in the next fortnight?

Homecoming

source unknown
Hey everyone,
I have missed you all over the last few weeks. Turkey is a fantastic place to holiday, I highly recommend it. We are flying home early Sunday morning and I am back to work Monday morning so it will take me a little time to catch up with all the goings on for the last few weeks. Let me know if anything new happened.
Love and hugs,
M

Holiday Update 1

What a hectic few days.
The wedding on Wednesday was wonderful and I`d like to congratulate Will and Eaoidin on their marrıage.
We drove straight from the reception in Carlow to Dublin at 5am to drop the car at Mr Ts aunts house and head out to the airport. Flight was delayed by about an hour, got to Istanbul and the connectıng flight was delayed too. Got to Izmir, stil hadnt slept and not all of our bags had arrived with us. Half of the luggage was not in Izmir. Mr T and Sonya are still without holiday clothes but we are all seeing the light side of it all and luckily there were some clothes in the house when we arrived.
More updates as they arrive. The weather here is unbelievable - 29 degrees at night, not too sure about daytime temp.

What A Weekend

What a busy weekend. I decided to head home to spend some time with my parents, and ended up helping with 2 wedding cakes and the catering for a neighbours twin baby girls christening. It was oh so busy so I decided to cut my loses and spend my Bank Holiday Monday back in Limerick where I can sleep in and curl up on the couch with a book and a coffee and head to the pool a little later on.

How was your weekend? Did you get up to anything special for the August Bank Holiday?
